Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Border Days is built to be private by design. This policy explains what data the app handles and what it never touches.
Data stored on your device
Your trips (dates, optional country, optional label) are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded, synced, or shared with us. Deleting the app deletes this data.
No accounts, no tracking
- The app requires no account and collects no personal information.
- There are no ads and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
- The app works fully offline.
Diagnostics
To keep the app reliable, anonymous crash reports (crash data and performance data) may be collected via Firebase Crashlytics. These reports are not linked to your identity and are not used for tracking.
Notifications and remote settings
If you allow notifications, your device's notification token is sent to Google Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can deliver them; it is not linked to your name or to anything you enter in the app. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings or in the app's Settings screen. The app gets announcement and update settings from Google Firebase Remote Config, which uses your device's language, country, time zone and OS version.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases; this involves an anonymous app-generated identifier and purchase receipts — never your name, email, or payment details, which stay with Apple.
PDF reports
PDF border reports are generated on your device. Sharing them is entirely under your control via the iOS share sheet.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
